Trust induction

Trust induction

Our Welcome day takes place at Duncan Macmillan House, Mapperley every two weeks on a Monday and at the Mike Harris Centre, Rampton the first Monday of each month.

Induction should take place on your first day or first week of employment.

This introduces you to our organisational culture, values and leadership behaviours and the importance of high-quality patient care.

The session starts with an overview from one of our Executive Directors. The following page gives you a full view of the programme for the first day of induction.

How it works

Your Trust Induction Welcome Day is face to face. During the day you will:

  • Be welcomed to the Trust by the Chief Exec or one of the Executive Team.
  • Be introduced to Our Core Purpose: Patient Experience and Carer Awareness.
  • Understand our Trust Values, our Culture and our Leadership Behaviours.
  • Understand what Pro-Equity means and why it is important to our organisation.
  • Be introduced to Freedom to Speak Up Guardians and Champions.
  • Discover various support services and have a chance to ask questions as part of the break time marketplace.

Your Trust Induction

  • Each Care Group has different training requirements to ensure you are safe at work.
  • During your first couple of weeks with the organisation, you can expect to complete the majority of your face-to-face training.
  • This will be arranged for you and shared with you ahead of starting with the Trust.
  • Depending on your role and where in the organisation you will be working, you might attend some of the following:
    • Basic Life Support Training
    • Hospital Life Support Training
