The Estates and Facilities Directorate has a successful track record in delivering high quality, effective and comprehensive facilities services across all sites. The Estates and Facilities function and work schedules hold major importance in enabling safe, continuous and uninterrupted operation providing services that enable our colleagues to do what they do best in safe, clean and fit for purpose buildings.
Estates
Working as part of the Estates and Facilities Directorate, the Estates Team provides professional management and advice on all aspects of building and engineering services. Delivering maintenance and reactive / breakdown repairs 24/7/365 days of the year to the Trust owned and leased buildings across the Forensic Division, Mental Health and Corporate Divisions plus services to an external Medical Practice of three sites. Our aim is to ensure the buildings we serve are safe, statutory compliant and fit for purpose, in support of the Trusts service delivery.
We serve 67 buildings throughout Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire totalling 151,558 sq m.
Capital Services
The Capital Services Team manage the Trust’s Minor and Major Capital projects along with new works requests.
Facilities Services
Facilities Services provides a wide range of non-clinical support services to patients, staff and visitors. These services including catering, domestic, linen , portering, transportation, housekeeping, linen provision and retail services in our cafes and shops.
Energy and Environment
The Energy and Environment Department provide professional advice and guidance to Trust staff with the aim of ensuring activities and operations are compliant with relevant environmental legislation and sector best practice. It is also responsible for delivering continual improvement in environmental performance.
Property and space utilisation
The Property and Space Utilisation Team provide a comprehensive service to help the Trust maximise the use of the estate whilst also ensuring benefits for staff and patients. This is delivered in terms of flexible accommodation which meets current best practice in care delivery and supports modern ways of working.
Contract, Governance and Compliance
The Compliance Team provide assurance and compliance reports on all Trust wide Estates and Facilities Directorate services on a variety of subjects from standard business training through to legal statutory compliance.
Operating Trust wide across all services within the Estates and Facilities Directorate and premises where there is a Trust service, the Compliance Team are responsible for obtaining and generating appropriate data and assurance in relation to compliance and conformance of all critical quality and statutory aspects. In doing so the team ensure they keep abreast of changes in relevant guidance and legislation. The team also identify appropriate key performance indicators and/or targets for all aspects to ensure that compliance and or conformance is clearly identified as being achieved or not.
Health and Safety
The Health and Safety Team provide a Trust wide health and safety advisory service, covering a wide range of safety related issues addressing staff, patients and service users needs.
