Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is a major provider of integrated healthcare services, employing over 11,300 colleagues who work every day to help people live healthier, more fulfilling lives. We deliver a wide range of services including mental health, intellectual disability, community, forensic and offender health services. Our care is centred around people and delivered in the settings where it is most needed - from secure hospitals to community hubs and from GP surgeries to people's homes.
Our services reach across Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire and South Yorkshire, and are delivered from more than 120 locations. We operate in a variety of environments, including low, medium and high secure settings - such as mental health hospitals and prisons, as well as delivering physical healthcare in local communities.
We are one of the largest mental health and community Trusts in the East Midlands and one of Nottinghamshire's biggest employers. Each year, we support the care and wellbeing of more than two million people. Our services span all age groups and levels of complexity - from short-term support to highly specialist interventions, with a strong focus on prevention, recovery and personalised care.
In addition to our local services, we are proud to host several regional and nationally commissioned services. These include the National High Secure Deaf Service, the Nottingham Centre for Transgender Health and other specialist provisions. We are also the lead provider of the IMPACT Provider Collaborative, a partnership across the East Midlands that brings together NHS organisations and independent sector providers to improve care for adults with complex mental health needs requiring inpatient care. As the lead provider, we take responsibility for the commissioning and oversight of secure mental health services across the region.
Our annual budget of £747 million enables us to invest in high-quality care, support innovation and develop our teams to meet the evolving needs of the communities we serve. We work closely with system partners, including the Integrated Care System (ICS), local authorities, voluntary sector organisations and people with lived experience, to improve outcomes and reduce health inequalities.
At the heart of our work is a commitment to making a difference. Through compassionate care, continuous improvement and collaboration, we aim to empower people to live well and thrive.

We are passionate about supporting diversity and inclusion in the Trust. We provide care to a diverse range of communities and believe that a diverse and inclusive workforce can help us to deliver the best possible care to those we serve, thereby amplifying our ambition to be a great and diverse place to work.
Nottinghamshire Healthcare aims to be diverse, inclusive and a great place to work for all. Key to this is how we support colleagues throughout their employment in terms of professional support, financial benefits, development opportunities, wellbeing support and staff discounts to name but a few.
Information about each of these elements and more can be found on our Staff benefits page.
Our Strategy 2022-2027 sets out our vision that “We will make a difference to the communities we serve by delivering the highest quality physical and mental health care to our patients, and by tackling inequalities in outcomes, experience and access.”
Our strategy is underpinned with four strategic objectives, which if we focus on in combination, will help us to achieve our vision - Our People, Our Performance, Our Care and Working Together.
We are committed to living our values whilst working together to achieve our vision and strategic objectives. As part of our programme to develop our people and culture, we developed a set of values: Trust, Honesty, Compassion, Respect, and Teamwork In combination, these values help us to describe what we are committed to doing to achieve our vision and the expected outcomes for our people, our patients, and our communities.

Our services are organised into four specialist units:
The majority of our services are delivered in people's own homes or local community settings, with some specialist and inpatient services provided at dedicated facilities. By working closely with primary care, hospital partners and the voluntary sector, we ensure people receive the right care, in the right place, at the right time.
Our Forensic Healthcare Group is one of the largest NHS providers of forensic services in the UK, delivering care across the full secure care pathway - from high secure to community-based forensic services. We provide specialist support for people with mental illness, personality disorder, intellectual and developmental disabilities and other complex needs, often within secure or specialist environments.
Services are delivered through our key forensic sites:
We are also the lead provider for the IMPACT Provider Collaborative - a partnership of NHS and independent sector organisations working across the East Midlands to improve care for adults with complex mental health needs who require secure care.
