We are pleased to be able to offer a variety of development opportunities to our colleagues, both clinical and non-clinical, at all levels of the organisation.

Administrative Development programme
Our administrative colleagues told us through a variety of feedback mechanisms that they would like more tailored professional development. We listened! In 2024 we launched the Administrative Development programme.
Delivered through 3 face to face learning days and 3 Action Learning Sets, our admin colleagues are supported to develop their admin skills, knowledge and behaviours; culminating with a professional portfolio to demonstrate their abilities.
Care Certificate (HCAs and HCSWs)
The Care Certificate is an identified set of standards that health and social care workers adhere to in their daily working life. Designed with the non-registered workforce in mind, the Care Certificate gives everyone the confidence that workers have the same introductory skills, knowledge and behaviours to provide compassionate, safe and high-quality care and support.
New HCAs and HCSWs will participate in the training programme over the first 3 months in their role.

Emerging Leaders Development programme
Our Emerging Leaders Programme is ideal for colleagues looking to step into leadership or those looking to enhance their existing skills.
The programme is designed to help colleagues develop the skills they need to lead with confidence and pride. During the programme, colleagues will learn how to influence and shape a compassionate culture within their team.
We believe that great leaders work collaboratively and promote equality, and our training reflects these values.
Emerging Leaders Programme comprises of 6 training days, action learning sets, a competency framework to complete and a 'spotlight on improvement' task.
Rising Leaders Programme (Bands 7-8b)
The rising leaders programme is for colleagues in roles at Band 7 to Band 8b with leadership and/or management responsibilities for staff, teams, or services. We acknowledge there are a number of staff who work in leadership roles with no direct line management responsibility, who would also find the programme beneficial and therefore a proportion of the cohorts are allocated to colleagues in these roles.
Rising Leaders takes place over the course of year and comprises of face to face workshops, action learning sets, coaching sessions, a 360 appraisal and a leadership project.
Leadership and Management Essentials
Our Leadership and Management Essentials programme offers a modular suite of leadership and management development. The programme aims to develop line managers/supervisors or those wishing to progress into leadership and management roles.
The modules are designed to develop essential leadership and management skills, behaviours, values, knowledge and confidence; enhancing effectiveness in leadership and management roles.
