The HR function provides a comprehensive service focused on supporting the Trust to achieve service improvement and business goals, providing expert advice and support on all workforce matters.
The HR team support managers and staff across the Trust and are based in a number of different locations. This ensures that decision making, and people management activities are delivered as close as possible to the workforce.
Recruitment, Bank and Agency
Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is committed to professional recruitment and selection practice.
The Flexible Services Agency Team supports the areas with their agency requirements for all staff groups, which includes Occupational Therapist, PWP's, Physiotherapist.
They ensure that all agency requirements are in line with the NHS Improvement Agency Rules.

E-Rostering
Electronic Rostering aka eRostering is an electronic staff management tool used to create and publicise rotas to staff in a timely manner. The eRostering team based at Duncan Macmillan House is responsible for start to end implementation of HealthRoster (eRostering) and for the general maintenance and ongoing customer support in areas within Mental Health Services. HealthRoster is a resource used to plan staffing requirements, report on enhanced hours, overtime, sickness, TOIL and annual leave.
ESR Support
Electronic Staff Record (ESR) is the HR and Payroll System utilised by the Trust as the primary source for Personal, Payroll, HR and Workforce information. Staff can access MyESR via the 'NottsHC Shortcuts' on their desktop.
Self Service functionality is also being used throughout the organisation:
- Employee Self Service - All Employees have access to view their own information and to update certain aspects such as home address, contact details and bank account information
- Supervisor Self Service - Supervisors and Administrators have access to update absence and appraisal information for staff within their areas of responsibility
- Manager Self Service - Managers have the same functionality as Supervisor but also the ability to enter End Employment (Termination) information and Changes of Hours for staff, replacing the need for submission of paper forms
- ELearning - All employees have access to undertake their eLearning statutory and mandatory training using ESR.
Learning and Organisational Development Department
