Allied Health Professionals

Allied health professionals (AHPs) are at the forefront of our Trust’s multi-disciplinary, specialist services for people with complex needs. They use their expertise around promoting recovery, enablement and positive risk taking, to add life to years, prevent relapse and reduce risks. Diverse services offer a wide variety of development opportunities to members of the Allied Health Professions from support worker and student to rotational options and AHP consultants. AHPs are led by an Associate Director Allied Health Professionals supporting a network of connected colleagues.

Speech and language therapists

Speech and Language Therapists

We employ over 180 speech and language therapists across children to adults services with both acquired and developmental conditions.

Dieticians

Dieticians

We have registered dietitians across the county to provide one to one therapeutic dietary advice within mental health, forensic and learning disabilities inpatient and community settings.

Podiatry workforce

Podiatrists

The Podiatry workforce provide elective foot surgery, the assessment and surgical management of complex foot disorders including forefoot, mid foot and rear foot pathologies.

Physiotherapists

Physiotherapists

Our physiotherapists provide expertise within a range different specialist services for individuals at all stages of their illness, condition and recovery whilst as inpatients or within the wider community.

Art and music therapists

Art and Music Therapists

Art and music therapists are employed across Nottinghamshire Healthcare, delivering therapy to children and young people and patients in secure services.

Occupational therapists

Occupational Therapists

We employ over 250 qualified occupational therapists, as well as two consultant occupational therapists and a large network of support staff. We highly value the occupational therapy role.
