The Mental Health Division

The Mental Health division of Nottinghamshire Healthcare Foundation Trust comprises of three directorates; Adult Mental Health, Mental Health Services for Older People and Specialist Services. More than 2,800 dedicated staff provide vital and integral healthcare services for our patients in a variety of settings, ranging from community through to acute wards, covering a vast geographical area.

Healthcare Assistant - Highbury Hospital 

We are recruiting for Band 3 Healthcare Assistants to join our Trust within our Mental Health Division at Highbury Hospital. We are looking for candidates that want to make a difference and have the values and attributes that align to our Trust. We are looking for applicants that are passionate about caring and patient focused, enthusiastic and committed to working as part of a team. 

In this post, you will be assisting with all the activities of daily living, addressing the physical and mental healthcare needs of patients - promoting individual health and wellbeing. Additionally, you will be required to undertake, record and report clinical observations as directed by registered staff. You will be assisting in the treatments and activities for the patients, which may involve accompanying informal patients outside the ward environment.

Healthcare Assistant - Sherwood Oaks

Sherwood Oaks is a purposed designed 70 bedded Adult Mental Health Inpatient service which is due to open during 2022 on the outskirts of Mansfield. The hospital will have 4 single sex wards and a hospital-based place of safety (Section 136 suite) all providing single person accommodation with en-suites. Sherwood Oaks Hospital will provide high quality care, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to people over the of 18 from Nottingham City and County who are experiencing a range of mental health and emotional difficulties. 

We are seeking proactive, compassionate, caring and recovery focused Healthcare Assistants with excellent communication skills to join our existing dynamic multidisciplinary teams to be involved in extensive assessments and formulations to support the planning and delivery of patients care. The multidisciplinary teams all work in a wa that is collaborative, evidence based and responsive to people's needs.
