Interview

If your application form has been successful you will be invited to an interview or assessment centre with the Trust. This page will give you some guidance on how you can book your interview, and what to expect at interview stage.

How do I book an interview slot?

Congratulations on making it to the interview stage!

You will be invited to interview and be notified by an invitation email. Please follow the instructions on the email to book your interview.

You may not see the time of your interview when you first book this, so don’t be alarmed by this. We automatically will book you in the next interview slot available. We would appreciate if you could try your best to attend the date and time of the interview, however we also appreciate that for personal reasons this might not be suitable. If the interview you have been booked for is not suitable, then please follow the below advice.

I cannot attend my interview, am I able to reschedule it?

If you are not able to attend the interview, then please respond to the interview booking confirmation email. One of the Recruitment team members will pick this email up and ask the manager directly if they are able to reschedule your interview. In some circumstances the hiring manager may not be able to reschedule your interview, which means it is up to you to then withdraw yourself from the vacancy if you absolutely cannot make the interview. If the request is granted, then the Recruitment team will change your interview details and you will receive confirmation when this has been done.

How will my virtual interview be organised?

If you have been invited to an interview and it is taking place virtually, we will ask you to confirm your email address. One of the members of the interview panel or their administration teams will then send you out a Microsoft Teams link to that email address. Please note that this might not come straight away, however if you have not received it the day before your interview, please contact the Recruitment team so this can be looked into further. Also note that your Microsoft Teams link might be in your junk emails.

I have been invited to an assessment centre, what will this entail?

An assessment centre can either take place virtually or face-to-face. It is a form of interviewing whereby you will undertake a group exercise, as well as have a formal interview. An assessment centre gives us the opportunity to learn about you, and it will provide you with the opportunity to learn about the Trust, our values, and speak to somebody that is currently doing that role and ask them questions.
