Mental Health Awareness Week
Hosted by the Mental Health Foundation, this year’s theme for Mental Health Awareness Week (Monday 13 May to Sunday 19 May) will focus on ‘Movement: Moving more for mental health.
So many of us struggle to move enough but we know getting moving with exercise is important for our mental and physical health. It can be as easy as going for a walk, chair exercises while you work or something more strenuous like wild swims, running or an exercise class - it all counts. Take a look at these tips from the Mental Health Foundation on how to get the best from the movement you are doing.
Our mental health is just as important as our physical wellbeing. From time to time, we might not feel as well mentally as we would like; it’s nothing to be ashamed of and statistics show that one in four of us will experience mental ill health at some point in our lives.
